Healthy Living 30 Day Challenge – Tip for Day 5
If you live in a large city, most likely there is a Saturday morning farmers’ market somewhere in your town.
When we lived in Kansas City, my husband and I liked to go downtown to the City Market on Saturday mornings and walk around to see what the vendors all had to offer.
Now that we live in Florida on the Treasure Coast, we enjoy the Downtown Fort Pierce Farmers’ Market.
Farmers’ markets usually have a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, so they are great places to find new foods to try, which leads me to…
Today’s Healthy Living Tip for Day 5 of our Healthy Living 30 Day Challenge: Make friends with one fruit or vegetable you’ve never tried or don't think you like. If it's too late today to go to your local farmers' market, go to the grocery store and find at least one fresh vegetable or fruit that you have never tried or don't usually eat. Buy it, bring it home, and find a delicious way to prepare and enjoy it.

I didn’t try a new one but we did grill mixed veggies on Saturday and Sunday. We had red and yellow bell peppers, red and white onions, mushrooms and yellow and zucchini squash. They were yummy. I didn’t quite make my 5k step goal but did make it to 4,794.
Sandra,
Grilled veggies sound yummy.
