Unmotivated to Try Yoga?
Today is Day “U” of the A to Z Blog Challenge.
And since my theme for this challenge is NO Excuses, I’d like to talk about one of the biggest excuses humans use for not trying yoga or any other form of regular exercise or even for not eating right and otherwise taking care of themselves.
And just what is that excuse?
If you said the excuse people tend to use is that they’re Unmotivated, you guessed it.
And maybe unmotivated even describes your attitude about yoga right now.
You’ve never tried it and you aren’t motivated to try it now.
Well…that’s okay.
The point of this blog is not only to nudge you to try yoga but to nudge you to try anything that can help improve the quality of your life.
And when you think about that – improving the quality of your life – are you really unmotivated in that regard?
I doubt it.
More likely, you just aren’t sure what you should or could do to improve the quality of your life that wouldn’t be too painful or boring or otherwise uncomfortable to try.
So…what are at least a couple of things you could do right now – or at least some time today – that would improve the quality of your life?
I’ll bet at least one of the things that comes to mind involves exercise.
Things like taking a walk.
Playing with your kids.
Or maybe going for a swim would improve the quality of your life.
For me, making the time to walk on the beach most evenings definitely improves the quality of my life because it makes me more aware of (and grateful for) the beautiful world we live in.
The beach also relaxes me as I enjoy the view and breathe the fresh, clean air.
So I’m going to take my own advice today and get motivated to do at least one thing that will improve the quality of my life.
Who knows?
Once I try one thing, I might move on to others.
Are you ready to try one thing to improve the quality of your life, too?
I hope so.
If you do, let me know how it goes.
Namaste,
