Day 30 – Healthy Living 30 Day Challenge
Welcome to Day 30 of my Healthy Living 30 Day Challenge, created to support my Yoganudge Facebook group
If you’re a member of my Facebook group, I hope you downloaded my self-study tutorial 21 Days of Yoga (which is free for my FB group members) and have started a regular yoga practice in the comfort of your own home.
And now, for today’s Healthy Living Tip…
Be Calmer
You’ll be healthier and happier if you live in a confident, relaxed state most of the time.
That isn’t easy to do in today’s stressful world, so follow these 6 tips to become calmer each day.
1. Declutter Your Social Media
Still following that person on social media who never has anything nice to say?
Now is the time to cut them loose.
When your social feed is cluttered with posts you don’t want to see, you miss out on the important ones you’d rather be viewing.
2. Do Something You Love
When you do something you love, whether it’s exercising, reading, or putting together puzzles, you’ll feel calmer.
Try doing something you love every day even if it’s just for a few minutes.
3. Learn to Say “No”
When you don’t know how to say “no”, you’ll be unhappy most of the time.
You’ll find yourself at places you don’t want to be while doing things you don’t want to do.
Put yourself first and only say “yes” to opportunities that bring you joy.
4. Disconnect from Email in the Evenings
Working late into the night is a common problem.
If you’re looking to pull back, the first step is disconnecting from your email at a certain time every night.
Use the time you save for something you actually enjoy.
5. Smile More
Smiling is a natural stress reliever and it doesn’t cost anything.
Next time, you’re down in the dumps, look in the mirror and give yourself a big smile.
6. Subscribe to Positive Podcasts
When you’re looking to add more positivity to your life, podcasts are a great way to go.
Download them to your phone, so you can listen while you exercise, work, or do a hobby.
You might also subscribe to The Morning Nudge videos on youtube.
When you notice that you’re starting to lose your calm during the day, follow one or more of the tips, above, to regain your peace of mind and sense of calmness.
Namaste,

Thanks for the calming tips Suzanne. All of them are things I already do or want to try. I try to read something fun every day, even if it is just for a few minutes. It always makes me feel good and when I think about it, it also calms me down. I hit 7,369 steps today…woohoo!
