Day 20 – Healthy Living Challenge – Nurture Your Spirit
Welcome to Day 20 of my Healthy Living 30 Day Challenge, created to support my Yoganudge Facebook group
If you’re a member of my Facebook group, I hope you downloaded my self-study tutorial 21 Days of Yoga (which is free for my FB group members) and have started a regular yoga practice in the comfort of your own home.
Here is today’s tip for the Healthy Living Challenge:
Nurture your spirit by finding your "happy place" and getting into the Vortex.
Never heard of the Vortex of Creation?
Then watch this:
Next, watch this to find out how to get into the Vortex:
Here are some of my favorite ways to get into the Vortex:
1. Read an uplifting book.
I love reading and rereading any of the books by Abraham Hicks, but Ask and It is Given is one my favorites.
What are your favorite uplifting books?
Please share some titles in a comment here.
2. Listen to uplifting music.
Some music can make you sad. Save that music for another time.
Today put on some peppy music and maybe even dance around to lift your spirits.
3. Write in a Gratitude Journal.
Make a daily practice of each morning writing down 10 things (or more) that you are grateful for and after a while, you’ll start to see your spirit soar.
I do this every morning, even though many of the items on my list are the same every day.
4. Go to the beach – or the park or to the mountains – anywhere that is beautiful and relaxing.
The beach is the place it’s easiest for me to get in the Vortex.
I relax and let my mind focus only on the rhythm of the waves, the sound of the gulls, and the smell of the ocean.
5. Go to church – or listen to a church service online.
If you can’t make it to a service at your local church, many churches record their services and upload them to their websites.
Unity Temple on the Plaza in Kansas City has recordings of services on their youtube channel here.
6. Watch an uplifting Video on youtube.
Here are some of my favorite video clips from Abraham Hicks.
Once you’re in the Vortex, you’ll see life in a more positive, exciting, and energizing way, so start each day in the Vortex.
Try it!
Namaste,
Suzanne

Lakewood church is one I listen to regularly. It is so uplifting and always makes me feel better. One of my favorite soundtracks is from the movie Mama Mia. I just love all the songs and I like to dance around the room to this upbeat music. When my husband is not home of course.
